The renovated Hotel al Piolet, which stands in the heart of Cervinia (Italy) in a strategic location with breathtaking panoramic views from Mount Matterhorn to the Grandes Murailles, was born from the passion of Jonas Nordlund, a Swedish entrepreneur in love with this charming mountain resort. Founded in 1953 by Rolando Zanni, a legendary alpine skiing champion, the Hotel al Piolet was built in the classic architectural style, inspired by local masterpieces such as Rifugio Pirovano and Gran Baita. Nordlund bought the hotel in 2021, promising to keep its legacy intact and entrusting the renovation project to two award-winning architects from Venice, Silvia Dainese and Stefano Gris (Gris+Dainese Architetti), and the young architect from Valle d’Aosta, Maria Pia Bettiol, who have taken the al Piolet to new high standards, focusing on renewed interior design and quality furniture elements. To heat the rooms and bathrooms of the 4-star luxury hotel, a perfect fusion of historicity and modernity, Scirocco designer radiators with a classic and refined style were chosen. In particular, for the twenty-four exclusive rooms, the architectural firm opted for the Tiffany cast-iron radiator in a decorated version, which, thanks to its native material, creates a pleasant atmosphere of constant and diffused heat, while for the bathrooms was included the brass towel warmer Caterina with a satin chrome finish.
